Teachers acquire important skills to be able to use the arts for learning during the Aesthetic Education Institute. This annual professional development opportunity is jointly sponsored by Young Audiences and The University of Denver College of Education. Teachers meet for two intensive weeks during the summer working with master teachers, child development experts, and gifted artist educators. They become "artists" through direct artistic experiences and are able to reflect and plan how they can use these new skills in their classrooms. Young Audiences makes artists available to these teachers during the school year so they can continue to hone their new skills.
